Navy Day Celebration

On the occasion of Navy Day, Doon Public School proudly conducted a series of enriching activities that celebrated India’s maritime strength and honoured the valour of our naval forces. The day featured an intellectually engaging Quiz on Indian Navy Ships and Bases for Class IX, aimed at enhancing students’ knowledge of India’s naval power and strategic defence. Our Class VIII students expressed heartfelt gratitude and admiration through a beautifully written Letter to a Naval Officer, acknowledging the courage and dedication of India’s naval heroes. Alongside this, our young learners of Class I participated in an adorable and spirited ‘Dress Up Like a Sailor’ Fancy Dress Competition, showcasing creativity, confidence, and immense enthusiasm. These activities not only paid tribute to the Indian Navy but also encouraged experiential learning, patriotism, and holistic development among students.

Amar Jyoti Visit

Visit to Amar Jyoti Rehabilitation Centre

With hearts full of empathy and minds enriched with understanding, the students of Class VI of Doon Public School embarked on a deeply touching and enlightening excursion to Amar Jyoti Rehabilitation Centre for Specially Abled Children. The visit became a powerful lesson in humanity as students learned sign language, explored the Braille script, and witnessed mesmerizing music and soulful singing by specially abled children, which left everyone emotionally moved. They observed beautiful expressions of creativity through jute craft, pot making, piggy bank making, stitching, and other art & craft activities, where vocational training is provided to nurture independence and self-respect. The interaction also sensitized students to the importance of ramps and accessible infrastructure, reinforcing the value of inclusivity. This unforgettable experience went beyond textbooks, teaching our students compassion, gratitude, and the true meaning of equal opportunities.
