the Doon Public School Literary Fest
2025,

August 25th.
The
competition, being the very first
event
of the fest, set the tone for the
days
ahead. The stage instantly came
alive as
the anchors opened the show with the
magical worlds of Harry Potter and
Shakespeare, weaving wit and wonder
into
their words. What followed was an
exhilarating battle of vocabulary,
idioms and linguistic flair, aptly
proving that words can indeed be
mightier than the sword.
The
rounds,
including Spell Me Right, Use Me
Right
,Identify the Idioms, Rapid Fire,
and
many more, kept the participants and
audience at the edge of their seats.
Each house fought fiercely,
conjuring
words with confidence, cleverness
and
creativity. The energy in the
auditorium
was electric, with cheers ringing
out
after every clever answer and witty
comeback.
The
participants dazzled with their
quick
thinking and expansive vocabulary,
while
the anchors sprinkled humor and
charm,
ensuring the event remained lively
and
memorable.

Inter-House Sanskrit Shlok Competition
2025
The
Inter-House Sanskrit Shlok
Competition
was held on August 25, 2025, for
students of Classes VI to VIII. The
event celebrated the timeless
heritage
of Sanskrit literature and
encouraged
students to explore the depth of
classical texts, strengthen their
oratory skills, and appreciate the
wisdom preserved in India’s ancient
scriptures.
Each
house
presented carefully selected shloks,
recited with devotion, clarity, and
confidence.
- Devi
Ahilya House: Their recitations
honoured the valour and virtues
of
Devi Ahilya and included
devotional
hymns praising the divine
essence of
Lord Krishna.
- Lata
Mangeshkar House: Their team
presented a wide-ranging
collection
of verses, including a prayer to
Surya, a hymn from the
Isha
Upanishad, and
excerpts from the
Nasadiya
Sukta (Hymn
of
Creation), weaving together
spirituality and
philosophy.
- Kalam
House: Their presentation paid
homage to Lord Ganesha, the
remover
of obstacles, while also
offering
verses glorifying the beauty and
greatness of Bharat.
- Dhyanchand
House: Their shloks drew from
devotional texts and
philosophical
hymns, highlighting values of
wisdom, humility, and spiritual
reflection.
The
audience
was deeply impressed by the
participants’ expressive recitation
and
their ability to convey both meaning
and
emotion through ancient verses. The

House Hindi Katha Kathan Competition

Classes VI–VIII was held on 26
August,
2025 with great enthusiasm,
celebrating
the timeless art of storytelling.
The
program began on an auspicious note
with
the lighting of the lamp, followed
by
words of encouragement from the
esteemed
judges, Mrs. Pooja Sri Vyas and Mrs.
Niddhi Jain.
The young
participants narrated stories that
revolved around powerful
themes—courage
and determination, and the wisdom
and
experiences of the elderly.Each
narration was engaging and
thought-provoking, offering timeless

(Melodious) Celebration of Language

Culture
The
school
resonated with music, rhythm, and
joy
during the French Song Presentation,
held as part of the school’s
Literary
Fest. The delightful event brought
together students of Classes VI to
VIII
as the audience, giving them the
chance
to experience culture outside of
textbooks by enjoying not only music
but
also the beauty of the French
language.
The
presentation featured melodious
performances of popular French
songs,
each with its own unique charm and
vigour:

The Fest

included a presentation of poems by

students of Class VI. Each section ,
proudly came up on stage and recited
a
well rehearsed poem. The poems were
carefully chosen and well recited.

activity gave an opportunity to all
students to come up on stage and
face
the audience , putting aside their
stage
fright and apprehensions. The poems

As part

the much-awaited Inter-House
Literary
Fest, Doon Public School
International
School, Indore, proudly hosted
Ignite, a
motivational speech competition for
students of Classes IX to XII. True
to
its name, the event ignited sparks
of
courage, resilience, and self-belief
as
young Shishyans took the stage to
inspire, motivate, and move their
audience with their powerful
words.
Each
speaker
brought forth a unique perspective
shaped by personal experiences,
struggles, and victories. From
confronting fear and self-doubt to
embracing imperfections, from
transforming pain into strength to
discovering the power of
perseverance,
the speeches reflected maturity far
beyond years.
Some
spoke
about the illusion of the “perfect
moment” and how waiting for it often
holds us back — urging peers to
“start
messy, but start now”. Others shared
heartfelt journeys of grief and
resilience, reminding everyone that
true
strength often comes from enduring
silent battles. We heard voices that
turned personal struggles into
powerful
lessons — about rising every time
you
fall, proving wrong the doubts of
others, and writing one’s own story.
Through real-life sporting
experiences,
students illustrated how the mind
can
overcome the body’s limits and push
one
to greatness. Hindi speeches too
carried
depth and soul — reminding us that
“क़ोशिश
करने
वालों
की
कभी
हार
नहीं
होती” and that
success is measured not by winning
alone
but by the effort and spirit to keep
trying.

Interhouse Perfect Pitch Competition
2025
( Classes IX-XII)
The
school
reached new heights of excitement on
its
second day, 26th August 2025, with
the
much-anticipated Interhouse Perfect
Pitch Competition. By the time the
curtains rose, the auditorium was
already alive with eager chatter and
what followed was nothing short of a
theatrical extravaganza where books
and
movies became living, breathing
performances.
This
year,
the competition carried four
thought-provoking themes which were
Political Satire, Voyage, Mythology
and
Revolutionary. Each house was tasked
with bringing a book and a movie
under
these categories to life, not only
persuading the audience of their
brilliance but also weaving them
into
unforgettable stage
experiences.
Devi
Ahilya
House pitched with biting humor and
sharp commentary in their pitch of
the
movie Don’t Look Up under Political
Satire, striking a balance between
comedy and urgency that kept the
audience engaged. Their book, V for
Vendetta, was staged with dramatic
flair, complete with striking
visuals
and a tone that echoed the spirit of
rebellion.
Dhyanchand
House took a contrasting route.
Their
book, The Great Indian Novel, was
presented with wit and intellect,
skillfully highlighting how satire
and
history intertwine. The mood shifted
dramatically with their movie,
Schindler’s List, where the
solemnity
and poignancy of the pitch left the
auditorium in goosebumps.
Kalam
House
brought warmth and imagination with
the
book Before the Coffee Gets Cold:
Tales
from the Café. The narrative of
second
chances was delivered so
thoughtfully
that it felt as though time itself
had
slowed. Their movie pitch, Troy, was
staged with grandeur. It was
mythology
retold through a lens of courage,
love
and betrayal that made it
unforgettable.
Lata
Mangeshkar House was nothing short
of
vibrant. Their movie pitch, The
Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir,
overflowed with charm, humor and
adventure, while their book choice,
Medusa, gave mythology a fresh
voice,
reimagining an ancient tale with
modern
sensibilities and depth.
The
variety
was extraordinary with props,
costumes,
background visuals and impassioned
performances that all came together
to
create an atmosphere that was
immersive
and electrifying. It wasn’t just
about
pitching books and movies, it was
about
making the audience feel as though
they
had stepped into the worlds of each
story.

The
Literary
Fest of 2025 concluded in style on
August 26 with the much-awaited
interhouse storytelling competition,
Darpan. As the final event of the
celebration of literature, Darpan
carried the promise of creativity,
energy and an unforgettable finale,
and
it delivered on all counts.
The air
in
the auditorium buzzed with
anticipation
as students gathered to witness the
