EXPERTS @ DOON

Experts@Doon is a monthly event where the school invites experts from diverse fields to speak to our students about their work. Experts who have made their mark across the spectrum of professions share their experiences and talk about their careers. Through these interactions’ students understand that there is a difference between the underlying passion involved in being a profession that one really likes and the one that is forced upon them.

Visit to Captain Roop Singh Stadium

It is aptly put by the Indian skipper “No cricket team in the world depends on one or two players. The team always plays to win.” Students at the junior wing of Doon were taken to Captain Roop Singh Stadium for their monthly excursion where they learnt how team work plays a vital role in professional and personal life.

World Cancer Day

On the occasion of World Cancer Day the students of Doon visited Cancer Hospital & Research Institute Gwalior. Hospital tour was organized for the students by Dr. GS Rajput, Medical Superintendent wherein critical care units and chemotherapy centers were shown to the students. Patients were given ‘Get Well Soon’ greetings, Fruits and Flowers by the students as a mark of gratitude. Doon Public School is forever committed to enhancing the consciousness of the students. Visit to Heartfulness Yoga Center

It was time to experience nature for students of class VI and XI at Doon today. Students visited the Heartfulness Yoga Center for being familiar with their own ‘self.’ Yoga and Meditation sessions were followed by checking out the agricultural farms and vegetation. Students ended it with enjoying traditional Indian lunch on a blissful note.

MORAR HEAD POST OFFICE

Students of Class III visited Morar Post Office Gwalior in order to get the practical knowledge of the functional body of post office. We are thankful to the officials to make it a successful educational excursion and share the details of various beneficial schemes and policies for the welfare of children.

VISIT AT LNIP FOR HEALTH AND FITNESS

Students of Doon Public School visited LNIPE Gwalior as a part of their monthly educational excursion.This excursion made them aware about the importance of Physical Health and Fitness. Students were also enlightened to choose Physical Education as an optional subject in their Senior Secondary Classes by LNIPE expert coaches.

VISIT AT MR. MANGU BHAI PATEL INDUSTRY

Students at Doon Public School were proudly invited to be a part of Agriculture Education Fair on the 27th August held at Universities of Agricultural Sciences, Gwalior. Honourable Governor of Madhya Pradesh, Mr. Mangu Bhai Patel interacted with the students during Model Display Exhibition on Agriculture and Millets. Dignitaries from different departments made students aware about Agricultural technologies and shared career opportunities. Event was fruitful and knowledgeable for students.

VISIT AT AMUL FACTORY, DHOLPUR

Amul Factory at Dholpur, Rajasthan visited by students of Classes VII A and B of Doon Public School wherein the Amul people had their super sophisticated mechanisms for production of dairy products like Milk, Butter, Ghee etc. The plant tour was taken care of by Amul’s floor manager of the factory and their well-oiled networks and systems were explained to students by the unit head. Thanks to team Amul, Dholpur, for facilitating this wonderful industrial visit for students of Doon Public School.

ALLIANCE WITH CINEPOLIS

Students relished a relaxing Movie Show with their friends and educators. After the first assessment it was a short break from academics which helped them get refreshed and rejuvenated from minds for the coming tasks and challenges. The School organized the show in alliance with Cinepolis India for a little over 400 students. Almost all the students from the primary level were in for it.

NATIONAL CADET CORPS, AFMS NAVY

It was indeed a proud moment for Doon Public School as it’s students received a special invitation to the passing-out-parade at National Cadet Corps, Officers Training Academy, Gwalior. Doon students witnessed the beautiful parade which marked the training completion of 117 aspiring trainees from the Academy. It was an honor for students to meet the Vice Admiral, Arti Sarin, DG AFMS, Navy. We are grateful and indebted.

GANDHI ANIMAL PARK

Students of Class 1st visited Gandhi Animal Park, Gwalior with their Educators. They enjoyed the educational excursion and keenly observed and learnt about the vast variety of Animals and Birds present in the campus of Zoo. These excursions always help students understand the fauna of India better.

SANCHI MILK MANUFACTURING FACTORY

Educational Excursion for Grade 5 students of Doon Public School held today. Practical knowledge of Sanchi Milk Factory gained by the students. They also learned about the whole process of manufacturing and processing Milk at the Factory including different stages and phases.

DIGITAL MUSEUM

An Educational Excursion organised for the students of Doon Public School in which they got the opportunity to visit eight major projects of Smart City Nagar Nigam, Gwalior ICCC,ITMS,Incubation Centre,RACDC, Digital Museum,Atal Museum,Digital Library,Town Hall. The educational team was directed by furling green flag by Smart City CEO Mrs. Neetu Mathur. Proud moment for Doon Students to witness the great work of Nagar Nigam.

ARCHEOLOGICAL MUSEUM

Students of classes 2nd and 3rd visited the Gujari Mahal Archeological Museum which is a state museum in Gwalior located in the fortress of Gujari Mahal on the occasion of World Heritage Day.This museum displays numerous artifacts of the region. Great experience of education excursion.

BSF TEKANPUR

Students of Doon Public School got an exhilarating experience at BSF Tekanpur which is one of the best Border Security Force Academies of the country. The authorities of the BSF organized an excellent Dog Show and Horse Riding session for students and also demonstrated Force’s weapons and drills. We salute to them for all the heroism and are thankful to the BSF for giving Doon’s students this great opportunity.

Doon Public School organizes an Eye Checkup Camp for Students and Parents in association with an Eye Care Hospitals of Gwalior, Ratan Jyoti Netralaya. Experts shared important tips and focal information to prevent eyes from several eye diseases. Regular health checkup camps are integral to Doon’s planners to ensure physical and mental fitness for all the students.

Kite Flying and Kite Making Competition

Inter House Kite Flying and Kite Making Competition held at the premises fostering team work and sportsmanship among the students of Doon Public School to celebrate Makar Sankranti. They enjoyed a variety of sesame sweets and shared harmony and festivities with each other.

Interactive learning through play.

Students of Classes I and II created vibrant and colorful stalls and showcased fruits and vegetables, emphasizing on interactive learning through play. Role-playing as customers, the young learners explored, counted, and absorbed basic concepts. The activity focused on daily-life experiences, with class teachers’ involvement adding to the success. This hands-on experience aimed to build a positive attitude towards learning.

NCC Students forged March Past Parade

Doon Public School’s NCC Students forged March Past Parade on the occasion of Republic Day with excellent coordination and showcased their Unity and Strength. We wish them to become a Patriotic Citizen and achieve their goals in all walks of life.

Students of Doon Public School showcased their unique and flawless performances. The event grabbed the attention of all, with Melodious Singing and Tricolour Vibrant Dance performances with so many variations. Republic Day marks the Historical Journey to Independence and Framing of the Indian Constitution. Seeds to cultivation

Students from Classes I A and B at Doon Public School visited a local yet large Nursery where they understood how plants are grown, transplanted and stocked for grafting and sale. Parents are the strong bridge between Students and Educators. They play a vital role in overall personality development of small children. It is very important to make them aware about School curriculum and policies. An Orientation Session conducted by the Educators for the Parents and Students for the upcoming session which was followed by interactive session and informative address by the Principal of Doon Public School.

Students of Classes III to V participated in Multi Drill Games to boost gross motor skills.
